The seasons seem to be changing quicker than they ever have before. One minute it was the summer, and the next we got hit with winter quicker than we could have thought. It was like someone flipped a switch one day and it was suddenly cold. But now the summer has come back around again, and we just know it won’t be long until the colder months come around again. So although most of you will be enjoying the summer at the minute if you’re from Aus, it’s time to talk about the colder months. Because whilst we’re enjoying a bit of warm, the rest of the world isn’t, and it won’t be long until we aren’t either. The season changes should really influence the style of your home, and we’re going to try and give you a little bit of inspiration that might help you to restyle your home. Keep on reading to find out more.
The Use Of Colours
We really believe that colours are so important around the home. It’s a way of giving your home style, yet it’s done so simply. All you have to do is add a splash of colour and it can completely change the way that your home looks. But we know that some people are afraid of adding too much colour, so now is the time to find the balance. A style we’re really liking for when the cooler months come in are whites contrasted with blues. Blue is set to be the interior design colour of the year, with some people opting for bolder colours, and some opting for the light blue that gives a more summery look. French Knot homewares are selling some beautifully blue items at the minute that we know you’re going to love. All you have to do is make sure you’re finding the balance and only adding a splash of blue. You should also try adding some grey in as well. The combination of grey, white, and blue for the colour is just amazing.
Warmer Accessories
If you’re experiencing the cold at the minute because you’re not from Aus, then we know you’re going to want those warmer accessories to help your home feel cosier. The same goes for all of us living in Aus! A really nice idea that we love is having a log burner installed. It might cost a little bit more than some of the suggestions that we have, but a log burner is so aesthetically pleasing. It gives that log cabin vibe to your home, it actually heats up your home, and we know that it adds value.
A Spruce Up Of The Outside
Spruce up the outside of your home by adding a new layer of paint, if the outside of your home is painted. The warm winter sun can really do some sun damage to your home, but a simple lick of paint can solve it all. If not, just make sure that your garden and front lawn are maintained, because it won’t be long until it’s pretty much impossible to do so!
