Tips For The Perfect Pampering Session

Pampering is an essential part of self-care, so for the good of your inner wellbeing, set aside time to do so. Let people know that you aren’t to be disturbed, switch off your phone, and then follow some or all of the tips that we give you below.

#1: Get yourself in the mood

Before your pampering session, do what you can to get yourself into a relaxed mood. Play something meditative or ambient on your sound system, light a few scented candles, and dim the lights if you are able to. You might also want to give your house a quick clean beforehand, as the distraction of your clutter could mess with the calm mindset you are trying to create.

#2: Relax in a hot bath

An essential part of any pamper session is a long, luxurious bath. Give it some fizz with your favourite scented bath bombs, or use Epsom salts, as these do a great job of relaxing the muscles. You could also add a few drops of scented oil to the water, such as lavender or rose oil, as these can aid your therapeutic experience. Then tie your hair up, put on a face mask if you want to, and close your eyes while you listen to your chosen playlist.

#3: Give yourself a facial

After stepping out of the bath, head to your bedroom or living room for the next part of your pampering session. Do as you would with your usual skincare routine and use the moisturising and exfoliating products that you regularly use to soften and cleanse your skin. If you need some examples, head over to Nature Talk who sell a variety of serums, creams, and face masks that are perfectly designed for all skin types.

#4: Give your nails a manicure and pedicure

There are a few things you will need when tending to your nails, such as a nail file, nail buffer, and your favourite brands of nail polish, so make sure you have everything you need in advance. There is some good advice in the following article on giving yourself an at-home manicure and pedicure, so have a read, and give your hands and feet the care and attention they need.

#5: Have something good to eat and drink

After focussing on your relaxation and beauty needs, relax with your favourite tipple, and prepare yourself a few snacks to eat too. What you eat is up to you, but don’t chomp on anything you might regret later. If you’re watching your figure, consider low-calorie chocolate or sliced tropical fruit, or mix the two with a delicious bowl of chocolate-dipped fruits, such as strawberries or bananas.

#6: Put your feet up

Watch your favourite Netflix shows, read a book or a magazine, or simply close your eyes and relax in the peace and solitude of your home. You deserve the rest so do whatever makes you feel happy and pamper yourself in the best way you know how.

So, have you marked a date in your calendar for your pampering session? For the benefit of your inner and external wellbeing, you should, so make time in your busy schedule and get everything ready for your evening of relaxation and rejuvenation.
