How you feel on the inside can certainly be expressed in the clothes we wear. So it is no surprise that if we are starting to feel a little drab, that this can be reflected in the current choices of clothes that we choose to wear. When we feel like this, the first choice could be something comfortable and oversized. But what we fail to realise is this can add to the negative feelings and make us feel worse and not better. So I thought I would share with you some of the quick and easy fashion fixes you can make to stop you feeling so drab in the attire you choose and help you to feel fabulous on the inside and out.

Decide to be more adventurous with your accessories

It is so important to be more adventurous with your accessories as this can really change the way an outfit looks. A statement necklace, some dramatic drop earrings or even some rings and bracelets can always make you feel glamorous as well as make your outfit look amazing. Companies like Indie & Harper have a great selection online for you to peruse. If you are always the type of person that sticks with the same thing. Why not try something new or just slowly start changing things a little? Maybe adding a necklace first and taking it from there. Getting more adventurous as time goes on.

Put more focus on the shoes you wear

Shoes are by far one of the easiest ways you can change the way an outfit looks. A pair of jeans and top can be casual one minute and then be completely glam the next by simply changing the shoes you are wearing. Focusing on this side of things alone can help you to start feeling better about the clothes you are wearing. Why not try a different style of shoe for a change and see the difference it could make.

Step outside of your comfort zone

Sometimes it’s fun to step out of your comfort zone and try different clothes. It may be a new colour that you have never worn before, or maybe a new style of trousers or top. You can start with small changes, or you can really try and be drastic with your changes. Do what feels right for you, but many people suggest that you can get a sudden surge of confidence just by stepping out of your comfort zone.

Get rid of the clutter in your wardrobe

Finally, often we can get ourselves into this rut of feeling drab just by looking in our wardrobe and not being able to see past the clutter. Are you one of those people that keep items of clothing just in case? Perhaps something you are hoping to fit back into one day or something you think will be trendy again once more? If you haven’t worn something in over a year what makes you think you ever will? It is time to ditch the clutter and really look at what you have in your wardrobe. You may find that you feel far more inspired with less to choose from.
