Today I’m going to be reviewing the Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System and the Scholl Velvet Smooth Nail Care Oil. It’s basically a three step system of filing, buffing and polishing your nails. I have attached a video as it explains it in depth and demonstrates how to use it. The oil is for use after the three processes.

Today I thought I’d do a tag so you guys get to know me better – also follow me on instagram if you’d like to see pics of my daily life featuring what I eat, scenery, selfies… the lot. You can find me at @aoxh or http://www.instagram.com/aoxh/ (shameless plug 😉 ) oh and I follow back!
On to the questions:
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight? Straight.
2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon? I haven’t dyed my hair for about a year but when I was getting it dyed it was at a hairdresser.
3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it? I think this means hairstyle, and it really depends; sometimes I wear it in a high pony or down, rarely in a bun these days.
4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon? I do my own because it’s much more fun and definitely cheaper.
5. How often do you change your nail polish? At the moment I’m giving my nails a break because they’re really weak but normally I change my polish every 1-1.5 weeks.
6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer? I paint them all year round because I love the look of it!
7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup? If it’s a full face of makeup I’d say about 30-45 minutes, if it’s just basic makeup I’d say 10-15minutes.
8. What do you do first? Face or eyes? Face.
9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it? Errr, sadly I collect it now HAHA! I’m a sucker for sales so if I see something I want I grab it… such a bad habit! This definitely relates to one of my previous posts about makeup HAHA. Click here to see the funny pic.
10. How often do you wear false eyelashes? Rarely, I’ve just recently learned how to put them on well (I’ve got almost monolids so it’s more difficult in my opinion) and I’m scared that they’ll begin to fall off throughout the day if I wear them outside!
11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday? Nope – I’d rather sleep in before school! I only do a full face sometimes when I go out with my friends.
12. Do you wear makeup when you’re home alone or with family? Nope unless I’m just playing around with it.
13. Will you leave the house without makeup? Yup.
14. How many high-end products do you have? Umm none, can’t afford them because I’m a student!
15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you’re getting dressed? Well since I’ve got school 5/7 days of the week I don’t need to plan it (we have a uniform) but on days I go out I plan it the night before because I’m so indecisive.
16. How often do you change your handbag? This is another thing I love to collect soo I change it whenever (since I have a range of them).
17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep? On school days I wake up at 7:10am and sleep at around 12am. On weekends I wake up around 11am and sleep around 2am. Bad I know!
18. How often or when do you workout? Ahhh this question makes me sad. I used to workout almost everyday but now I’ve become lazy and stopped it altogether. I definitely need to start working out again because I’ve put on weight already -_-.
19. Left handed or right handed? Right handed.
20. How tall are you? I haven’t measured myself in like 5 years but I’d say around 172cm.
21. Do you speak any foreign languages? Nope, only English.
22. How many pets do you have? We have a bird but I’m not even fond of animals, my mum bought it.
23. How often are you on WordPress? Pretty much everyday.
24. Do you read comments posted on blogs? I read every one of them & reply to them all if they are ‘replyable’ if you know what I mean… haha totally made up a word there.
25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts? Sometimes.
26. How did you come up with your blog name? It took me ages to think of a good blog name that I liked. I wanted it to sound smart and sophisticated – it took a lot of thinking.
27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs? My iPhone 5s, haha!
28. What’s your favorite color? Baby pink.
29. Do you swear? I try not to ever swear, so rarely and if I do it’s mainly in my head.
30. What are you doing with the rest of your day? It’s 7pm while I’m writing this so probably just have dinner, watch some youtube, read more blogs, instagram and then go to sleep (FOR SCHOOL TOMORROW ahhh 😦 ).

Featuring: Debra Lynn Meija
Hello everyone!
Today I’ve got a post featuring another ETSY shop: Debra Lynn Meija! She is a fellow blogger who also specialises in illustration and design – her ETSY shop is full of gift tags, post cards and paintings! I personally think they’re adorable and she is very talented, her work shows precision and is of high quality. Okay, so how cute is this post card? I just love the overall colour scheme and the perfume is amazing (sadly I don’t own it, but I have smelt it before, not to mention the packaging is gorgeous!). This is perfect for sending a post card or a gift to someone – you also get 10 in a pack with complimentary “pink lemonade” envelopes and pink ribbons as seen in the picture. This one is definitely my number one pick!
Ever in a dilemma of how to present & wrap presents nicely? (Story of my life.) These gift tags are cute and affordable. I love the illustration of the posh lady and even more so the birds eye view of a present behind her, which definitely accentuates the theme of the gift tags and just looks plain adorable.
Now onto the artworks:
I chose to feature this artwork (as well as the others) as they all would be perfect for decorating your vanity corner or even your room. I love the vibrant, eye-catching colours in this painting and definitely think it would add a little spice to your otherwise empty walled room.
This one would probably have to be my second favourite piece from Debra, as I am a nail fanatic – I absolutely love doing my nails and trying all the cool nail art out there (anyone else?). This work would look gorgeous above your nail polish cabinet/shelf (if you have one) or just anywhere around your room. I love how it has a variety of nail polish colours and just makes it fun to look at. These also are available separately, for example if you just wanted a painting of the red nail polish, it’s available in her store.
Lastly, a piece which truly show cases your love for makeup, especially lip sticks! This piece is cute and quirky, once again perfect for your vanity corner. I love the variety of colours depicted in the painting, which makes it aesthetic. These are also available in separate pieces.

Quick update: Life & NAILS!
Hi everyone!
So this week it’s back to school for me and all my other Aussie friends, which kinda sucks! This is my final year though so I am kind of glad but also nervous for the HSC! Anyway, just wanted to update you all about my life – I just quit working at Dominos on Sunday which is so, so, so sad! I really love all the people there and loved working there. (also got dominos official to follow me on twitter, ya know 😉 ).
Then on Tuesday I sat for my P’s and passed on the first go! Wooohooo – except I did hit the kerb while parallel parking and really thought I failed but I am SO glad I didn’t!
Last thing; my baby brother is now in high school as well! I cannot believe how quick he is growing up, as well as my baby sister! She is in year 10 this year which means she is starting the preliminary course next year, ahhh!
The only good thing about quitting work meant that I could finally start doing my nails again after a year and a half! Painting my nails and doing designs were definitely a favourite hobby of mine, so be sure to see many more nail posts from now on!
I am obsessed with these nails! (My first time wearing fake ones – and funny story, during the driving test one of my nails actually fell off but I didn’t notice until after, HAHA! I never found it though…).
Keep your eyes peeled for a violet box unboxing (as soon as I receive it – it is taking forever!) and an iPhone case collection (another obsession of mine).

Nail Designs I’ve Done and LOVE!
This is just a really cute and simple nail design I did. I personally love it – no nail tools were used! I just used the end of a bobby pin to make the white dots.
This was my very first attempt at ombre and I personally think it turned out really well! I just used a makeup sponge to apply the colour. I absolutely loved this design – and it was quite simple to do (but messy)!
This nail polish was super cool, it apparently change colour depending on your mood (obviously that’s not true, it just depends on the temperature). I loved the ombre look I got on one winter’s day!
A sparkly, girly design. I also ADORE this one! It was so sad when it began to chip.
I tried out the OPI crack nail polish – loved the look! Reminded me a little of Halloween.
Just a simple summery colour I did (this one changes colour too but less noticeably). Really like this one too! (Swear I said that about all of them… hahaha)
