Hi guys!
Today I’ve got a review on the Polished London Dry Shampoo in “Blightly Brunette”. I actually wrote this months ago and forgot all about it (hence the dodgy photo) so I am publishing it now, haha. This is available at Priceline if you’re interested.
Price: $4.95 AUD
Pros:
This stuff does the job quite well especially considering the price. It has a strong scent to it which is neither pleasant nor unbearable, you get used to it after awhile. A big pro for me is that it is tinted brown so it’s perfect if you have darker hair, this ensures that you don’t have any white patches left on your hair from the dry shampoo like other ones which are not tinted with colour; I believe there is a one for blondes as well and a standard one. It does absorb the oils on my hair and leaves it looking relatively fresh, however I’d recommend putting this on the night before to help it look more ‘fresh’ as it may have a dampish look for awhile if you spray it on in the morning – if this happens you just need to rub it in a little more.
- Leaves hair looking fresh
- Tinted
- Affordable
Cons:
A con is that when you go to rub the dry shampoo in with your hands is that you get the colour all over your hands. I was bamboozled the first time this happened, I had no idea where it came from, but soon realised it was the dry shampoo. The smells isn’t particularly the best either, it could be better and toned down a notch. I’d advice you to spray a bit in store before buying it to see if you can stand the smell! Another con is the power of the spray, it is really strong so you have to be careful of how hard you press to ensure full control and that you don’t blast your head off (hahah). I also found that it can kind of leave your hair looking ‘wet’.
- Tints your hands when rubbing it in
- Scent is very strong
- Overly powerful spray
- Can leave hair looking ‘wet’
Ratings:
Price point: 5/5
Effectiveness: 4/5
Overall: 3.5/5
Recommend/repurchase?
I have repurchased this multiple times due to the price point, it’s so affordable compared to brands like Batiste. Overall this is a great, affordable dry shampoo which gets the job done so long you can bear the smell. Also, I love that it is tinted which is great for us darker haired girls.
Hope you guys enjoyed my review and have a great day/night!
Amy x

Much love, Rahma ❤

Oooh I think I saw that in store the other day and was quite intrigued since it’s a powder isn’t it? xx
