Hi guys!
Here’s a quick tip I’d like to share with you all and it’s about how to remove scars! I wouldn’t recommend this method if your skin is really dry as it’ll string quite a bit. The method I have tried is using lemon juice, since we have a lemon tree in the backyard. This way is extremely cheap yet effective, as I found.
What you’ll need:
– A lemon
– Small cup/bowl
– A cotton pad
Steps:
It’s really simple.
1. All you need to do is squeeze the juice out of the lemon into the container you have chosen.
2. Dip a cotton pad in the lemon juice and apply to the scarred areas (make sure you washed your face prior & that it is completely dry before applying the lemon juice).
3. Leave this on for a minimum of 10 minutes. Wash off. Try to repeat this everyday or every second day to see results faster.
NOTE: Try not to expose your skin to light with the lemon juice on it as it will react and may leave a light patch on your skin. (I’d recommend doing it just before you sleep, this way you could even leave it over night).
How does it work?
The lemon acts as a natural bleach, therefore it helps fade out the scars. The alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) removes the dead skin cells, encourages growth of new ones and gives the skin more elasticity.
What methods do you guys use to remove scars? Also let me know if you try this one out & if it worked well for you!

So easy to do and I totally need this! 🙂 I’ve read that lemons can be harmful on the skin though but it’s such a classic remedy for the skin! I’m so confused! 😦

It worked for me – I just got lazy and stopped doing it though. And really 😮 I didn’t know it was bad for your skin! hmm…

I heard it is good for scarring! I think it might just be for people with sensitive skin because of how acidic they are, and they distort the pH a lot! :O But if it works and nothing bad happens then why not? Hehehe

Ahhh true, it also sucks if you have dry skin ><! x

Yes, it totally would! >< Also have to be careful not to apply it over popped zits or that would hurt so bad! D:

Will it work on dark skin?

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure. But the lemon lightens the scars so I’m pretty sure it would work fine! Worth a try 🙂 my skin colour is like tanned and it worked for me 🙂

Wow. I didn’t know this. I have a little scar on the top of my forehead from when I was two. I bet this will help lighten it.

I’ve been using this trick for a while now and it’s amazeballs! I add a little honey to it, so that the lemon can do it’s job and be moisturizing as well. ps: Thank you for liking ‘Luminous Glowy Skin’.
