Review: Sukin Super Greens SKINCARE RANGE – Facial Scrub, Serum, Moisturiser and Masque

Hi guys!

Today I’ll be reviewing Sukin’s skincare range which consists of their Super Greens Facial Detoxifying Scrub, Facial Recovery Serum, Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser and their Clay Detoxifying Facial Masque. I decided to squish all these reviews into one post as I thought it’d be easier, let me know if you like it like this.

First of all I love that Sukin is an all natural brand, meaning there are no harsh chemicals in their products and secondly they are SUPER affordable!

Super Greens Facial Detoxifying Scrub

2015-11-12 12.57.50

A blend of kale, spirulina and parsley promote a healthy, glowing complexion while jojoba beads and bamboo gently exfoliate the skin. Micro jojoba beads and ground bamboo offer the skin a gentle polish to remove dirt and impurities.
A blend of kale, spirulina, chlorella and parsley impart detoxifying antioxidants and vitamins on the skin, while pineapple, licorice and lime peel promote a clear, radiant complexion. A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses. Can be used more than once a week.

The consistency of this scrub is sort of a cleanser with mini exfoliating beads in it which I liked a lot. It meant that the beads were not too harsh on my skin but were just perfect for a gentle exfoliation. The scent of this scrub is AMAZING as well. After use my face felt smooth and super refreshed. This would have to be the best face scrub I’ve used and it’s even better that it’s all natural.

  • Gently exfoliates
  • Smells amazing
  • All natural

Facial Recovery Serum & Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser

2015-11-12 12.58.12

The serum claims:

A refreshing daily facial serum with detoxifying green actives of Kale, spirulina, chlorella and parsley to offer antioxidants and vitamins to restore a healthy glow. Grape seed oil, avocado and vitamin E assist in locking in moisture for a dewy complexion, and added acai berry promotes youthful looking skin. A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

The moisturiser claims:

A light weight daily moisturiser enriched with actives of kale, spirulina, chlorella and parsley to promote a healthy looking complexion. Acai and goji berry extracts impart antioxidants to the skin while rose hip, avocado and jojoba lock in moisture. A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

I use the serum and moisturiser in conjunction so thought I’d review them together.

What I really like about this serum is that it doesn’t feel oily when applied, instead it feels super light. The only thing I don’t like is that I swear it smells like raw potatoes, which is strange haha. I found that the serum and moisturiser when used in conjunction helped reduce redness, even out my skin tone and made my skin appear healthier.

Although the serum smells weird, the scent is masked by the moisturiser since I apply that straight after. The moisturiser, like the scrub smells amazing and super fresh. The moisturiser feels super refreshing when put on, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky at all.

Serum

  • Light
  • Doesn’t feel oily
  • Helped reduced redness, evened out skin tone and made my skin appear healthier

Moisturiser

  • Smells amazing
  • Absorbs quickly
  • Moisturising
  • Refreshing

The serum is available on the Sukin website for $17.95 or in store (click here for a list of stockists).

Clay Detoxifying Facial Masque

2015-11-12 12.58.54

It claims:

A clay based masque infused with kale, spirulina and parsley to promote a clean, healthy and glowing complexion.
Kale, spirulina, parsley and chlorella offer a super green blend of detoxifying antioxidants and vitamins to promote healthy, youthful skin. Avocado and Baobab lock in moisture while goji berry encourages a dewy complexion. A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

If you know me you should know I LOVE my facial masks. This one didn’t let me down! Again it smells amazing like the moisturiser and the scrub which is great since you have to leave this one on your face for about 15 minutes. The mask was easy to apply across my face. I loved that the mask did what it claims which is detoxifying my face and giving me a glowy complexion. I used this mask after wearing a full face of makeup for about 9 hours and after I washed it off my face  my face felt so refreshed and my skin felt super soft. I also found the mask helped reduce redness.

  • Smells amazing
  • Detoxifies
  • Refreshes face
  • Makes complexion glow
  • Reduced redness
  • Face appeared healthier
