Today I’ve got a post for y’all on my top 3 must-have hair care essentials. I have bleached and dyed my hair many times over the past six years so it’s essential that I take good care of my hair to ensure breakage is minimised and it’s in the healthiest condition possible. Alright, so as you can see in the image above I have three hair care essentials pictured.

First of all I HIGHLY recommend yourself getting yours hands on a detangling brush, it makes a world of difference to your hair. Detangling brushes are a thousand times more gentle on your hair and detangles it much quicker than a normal brush. At first I didn’t know what the hype was of detangling brushes; I thought it was just another gimmick but after trying one I can definitely vouch for it. The one I use is from Dessata Australia (click here for a link to the product and my full review).

Since I’ve bleached my hair twice recently, it becomes super tangled if I wear it down, which does suck but what can you do. Not to mention it gets even more tangled every time I wash it to the point where it is too hard to use a detangling brush alone to get rid of the knots – well you can but I feel like it is damaging my hair quite a bit. So I decided to try out Pantene’s Detangling Spray since it’s quite affordable and I also got it on sale so it was about $4. It works amazing and definitely helps get rid of the knots in my hair. It also has a really nice scent to it – I’ve already bought a back up and will continue to use and recommend this product!

Lastly, I’d recommend getting a leave in hair oil to put on your hair after you wash it or whenever you feel like your hair needs a little bit more conditioning. It’s a must have in my hair care routine – currently I’m using the one by Tresemme which works quite well but is not the best one I’ve used.
