Review: Ulta3 Tribal Talk Range (Matte Liquid Lipsticks & Lip Liners)

Hi guys!

Today I’ve got an exciting post on Ulta3’s latest collection: Tribal Talk! The collection consists of five ‘ulta’ matte longwear lip creams and their longwear lip liners to match. The shade range is beautiful and perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer in Australia, well to be honest they’re perfect for all year round! If you’d like to see my thoughts on the products and see swatches, please keep reading.

Swatches from top to bottom: Amazon Orange, Free Spirit, Wild Fire, Tribal Pride and Hunter Gatherer.

As you can see the colour range is very versatile and there’s definitely a shade for everyone out there. The packaging is very sleek and comes with a doe foot applicator inside. I found that the matte lip creams were very velvety and glided on super easy on my lips. The darker colours do need to be applied at least twice so it doesn’t look patchy which is normal, especially for matte lipsticks so this didn’t bother me as much.

On my lips it seriously felt so comfortable and did not make my lips feel tight at all which I loved, however I do think it is necessary to moisturise your lips before using these as you would before any matte lipstick.

Wear wise, they did transfer when I ate or drank anything which is probably from the creamy formula. This, again didn’t bother me too much but you should keep this in mind if you’re looking for a matte lipstick that does not transfer.

I found that the lip liners were super creamy and easy to apply, however not too creamy that it just went every where. They were stiff enough for the application to be smooth and easily controlled. Again, beautiful colours in the lip liner range and the biggest pro is that they shave SHARPENERS on the lids – sooo convenient!

The ulta-matte longer lip creams are available in store or online for $7.95 and the lip liners are available for $4.95. Definitely worth the snag in my opinion.

Thanks for reading and I hope you found my review helpful!

    1. These are much less drying to then I find! However these do move around a bit more on your lips and transfer since they are so creamy. I think I like these better though as they don’t make my lips look sooo dry like a typical matte lipstick would. X
