Hey guys!

I know that we are in the full swing of winter over here. But it is never too early to start thinking about your transitional wardrobe. Often it can be cheaper to buy out of season, so now is the time to get planning. A lot of trends from summer will continue, just with a warmer twist as we wait for things to heat up again. So here are some styles to look out for and to stock up your wardrobe with.

1. Denim

This is a big trend at the moment; denim skirts, pinafore dresses, and dungarees. These will continue through into autumn and spring. You will just team them with dark tights, ankle booties, and a jacket. Longer denim skirts are a big look, rather than a mini-skirt version. They are perfect for when things are cooler and not quite hot enough yet. I have seen some gorgeous long denim shirt dresses online from Minkpink if you are stuck for some inspiration.

2. All Tan Everything

Shades of tan were big on the catwalks in recent months, so that is something to keep an eye on. Think about a tan trench coat, tan boots or loafers, as well as tan jumpers and scarves. It is a colour that is very easy to wear as it goes with most things. You can wear tan with a denim skirt or jeans. It looks good as the colour of shoes, as well as worn as a jacket or dress. Tan works great for accessories too. Scarves, belts, and bags all look great in tan. They compliment a lot of colours, so they are worth investing in. Tan leather skirts are also a popular look that just screams sass. Worn with a black shirt and boots, you will mean business!

3. Off-the-Shoulder

Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses will still be a look that is going strong. It is such a pretty and feminine style to wear so I can see why it is still going to be popular. An off-the-shoulder top can be used to dress up a casual skirt or a pair of jeans. Team with some killer heels and you have an evening outfit sorted. Off-the-shoulder dresses are such a classy look. They will work for days when we have good weather, as well as for more dressed up occasions.

4. Dusty Pink and Yellow

Some other colors that will feature a lot are dusty pink and yellow. It is quite a bold statement when worn together. When done right, though, looks amazing. You might choose a sheer pink dress, and layer it with yellow underneath. A dusty pink coat would look amazing with a yellow scarf too. Be bold and be creative! It is nice to see such pops of color on the catwalks.

5. Statement Necklaces

Necklaces have never been more chunky! Some statement jewellery around your neck will be such a strong look over the coming months. That can include thin scarves or ties around the neck too.

Are there any of these looks that you are looking forward to embracing? Let me know in the comments! Personally, I love tan coloured clothing and also dusty pink pieces!
