Review: Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System + Velvet Smooth Nail Care Oil

Hi guys,

Today I’m going to be reviewing the Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System and the Scholl Velvet Smooth Nail Care Oil. It’s basically a three step system of filing, buffing and polishing your nails. I have attached a video as it explains it in depth and demonstrates how to use it. The oil is for use after the three processes.Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset

Pros

It is super easy to use once you get the hang of it. I find that using the buffer and shine side are easier to use and control as all you need to do is hold it over your nail and move it around a little. I like that the device has two different speed options since I found it a little harder to file my nails with this, I recommend using the slower speed and just taking your time. Once you’ve got the hang of it it’s all good and easy to use when filing. After using the buffing side my nails were noticeably smoother and felt soft when I ran my fingers over them. The shine side is recommended to be used on the highest speed (which I did) and found that my nails looked much more healthy and shiny after use. It was similar to that time I was in the mall with my mum and we got pulled over by a sales person who buffed and shined her nails, they were so shiny!

  • Quick and easy to use
  • Two different speeds
  • Helps file, buff and shine nails well
  • Nails felt soft and healthy after use

Cons

As I stated above I found it a little hard to work with the filing side when I began but I recommend using it on the slower speed to have more control.

  • Filing side can be a little difficult when beginning

I think this product is definitely a more luxury product and would be a great gift for nail fanatics or for people who love to pamper themselves!

Pros

This product was life changing for me. Ever since I tried wearing fake nails and not removing them correctly my nails were weak and kept cracking. I’ve tried Salley Hansen products in hopes of strengthening my nails but they did nothing and were quite expensive.

First of all, this product smells amazing and doesn’t leave your hands feeling oily at all. It absorbs in your nails quite fast as well but I do rub in the excess after 10/15 minutes. After the first use my nails instantly felt and looked healthier. The day after my nails felt stronger and harder, they sort of had this tight/hard feeling which was a good sign. After consistent use my nails feel and look super healthy but unfortunately due to work they’re still somewhat cracked at the edges. This oil has definitely helped strengthen my nails again and I’m super pleased.

  • Smells amazing
  • Doesn’t leave hands feeling oily
  • Absorbs relatively fast
  • Made my nails look and feel healthier
  • Made my nails stronger

I’d definitely recommend trying this oil out if your nails are weak and unhealthy like mine were, it makes a huge difference in a short amount of time.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed my review!
