Hi guys!

Today I’ve got a review post for y’all and today it’s on Dessata’s Professional Original Detangling Brush. I never really understood the hype about detangling brushes as I couldn’t imagine the difference it’d really make. My sister bought one from another brand and said I should try one out but I felt ‘meh’ about it and it wasn’t on my priority lists. However, after using Dessata’s detangling brush my life has changed and I will never go back to a normal paddle brush haha, seriously, you need to try out a detangling brush and I’d definitely recommend the one from Dessata, if you’re interested why please keep reading.

Pros:

The best thing about this detangling brush is that it really is much more gentle on your hair and reduces breakage by a mile. I don’t know how, but it does, I suppose it’s something to do with all the specially curated bristles. I recently attempted to balayage my hair at a hairdresser but it didn’t turn out how I wanted, regardless of that my hair still was bleached. Ever since then I found my hair was really knotty and hard to brush out especially after I washed it. I found that this detangling brush didn’t tug at my hair at all while I brushed it out after I washed my hair, to my amazement – there was zero tugging at all! When my hair is dry it does tug a little but barely anything compared to my old paddle brush which was a nightmare, especially since I’ve got pretty long hair. The design of the actual brush is really nice as well, I have the baby pink and gold one which is one of my favourite colour combinations, however if that isn’t your cup of tea they have many other colours as well. They also have a mini travel sized detangling brush which comes with a cap/lid so it won’t get dirty in your bag. I find that the detangling brush is almost half the weight of my previous brush. The wide spread of bristles makes it easier to remove your hair from the brush when cleaning it as well.

  • Effectively reduces hair breakage
  • Gentle on hair, minimises tugging
  • Beautiful design
  • Light weight
  • Travel size available
  • Sturdy design
  • Easy to clean

Cons:

There is only one tiny con about the brush, which is only me being picky. I find that due to the design of the brush and the wider bristles, your hair falls off the brush and can be a little annoying/messy. However, I guess this can also be seen as a good thing as it forces you to clean your brush more often & it’s actually easier to clean (I rarely did this before, gross I know…).

  • Hair falls off brush easily

Recommend/repurchase?

I definitely would recommend this detangling brush to you guys, and encourage you to give one a go if you’ve never tried one, it’s revolutionary! Even though it is a bit pricey it is a great investment especially if you have a sensitive scalp or dry/damaged hair. I will definitely be repurchasing one once it breaks, even though I don’t really see how that’s possible since it is of great quality. So if you’re looking for a new brush which is light weight, minimises breakages and also has a super cute design I’d definitely recommend checking this one out.

Hope you guys enjoyed this review & let me know your thoughts on detangling brushes.
