Hey guys!
Today I’ve got a trend post for y’all and it’s the ombré lip trend. I’m a bit late to make a post about these but they are definitely still popular from what I’ve observed. I love the creative, bold looks they create if you opt to use bright or dark colours, alternatively you can go for a soft, more casual look with a variation of pinks. I haven’t tried these myself but imagine it would take quite a bit of practice to make them look sleek and flawless. I feel like the bolder ombré lips would be perfect for music festivals or costume parties.
Have any of you guys tried it out and if so how did it turn out?
Here are some pics (be sure to leave a vote down below about which one was your fav!):
Let me know which one was your favourite from above, mine would be the second one with pink on the outside which transitions into gold, it looks so elegant to me! I’d definitely like to try it out one day. Leave a vote and find out what everyone else’s favs were.

I think they’re all interesting. I like #5 the best. It reminds me of ulzzang lips. I would probably never be able to pull it off, but I would like to try it sometime!

I wear a black to purple that fades to a vibrant pink quite a lot. I adore the 1st one with all the gold so definitely am going to try it. I love how lips can be worn in so many different and creative way’s!! Being a total lip junkie, I adore this post! 🙂

Wow that sounds really cool and can’t imagine how nice it looks! I loove number 1 & 2, the gold just makes it so unique. I agree, I think I’m becoming obsessed with lip products as well.. haha xx

I have a very dark purple shade from Rimmel which apart from smelling GORGEOUS and being a totally versatile colour (I can be gothic, grungy or red carpet depending what I wear) it tends to have an ombre effect, where my natural lip shade shows through in the inside-middle of my lip and for some reason it works so well! Also why I voted for number 7 ;P

I like them all! I need to branch out and try some of these! I’m usually pretty daring with makeup, so I’m not quite sure why I’ve skipped by this trend! Loved the post!

Oh gosh that’s exactly like me with heaps of trends. For example the turtle neck trend, I thought it was so old and ugly when it first started coming back but now half my wardrobe consists of turtlenecks LOL. X

Same. When skinny jeans first started I hated them but ran out and bought several pairs to be stylish. Lol! Now they’re all I wear!

They’re all petty, but I love the drama is 1 and 2. I’d only do that around Halloween time, but they’re gorgeous!

Totally agree with you! Those two are definitely my favourite because they’re so unique x

Love the look, but NEVER wear it. Every time I try an ombre lip, I end up looking like my little one’s finger painting project. Sigh.

Hahahaha aw man, practice makes perfect, I guess. I have yet to try this but am pretty sure it’s harder than it looks haha! x

I think ombre lips look good for pictures, but I don’t think they’d be very wearable in most situations!

True that unless it’s super subtle or for a costume look or something! I just thought of how hard it would be to not ruin it throughout the day hahaha x

I don’t mind it actually. The more subtle it is, the nicer it looks in my opinion. The orange and gold ones I’m not a big fan of, but a darker lipstick like purple or red you can get away with 😉 great post!

True, and I’m sure you’d only wear those super bold ones at a costume party or something – the dark one is super gorgeous 😉 thank you xx

Love the sunset one, might give it a go for Halloween or maybe something a bit darker even. Great blog 🙂
