Review/Unboxing: Oh Little Sunshine Box

Hi guys!

Today I’ve got a review/unboxing of the Oh Little Sunshine Box and I’d like to give a big thanks to Carly for sending me this box. I am really excited to share this service with you all, especially Aussies and Kiwis as it’s quite unique and special! Basically it’s got similar concept to a beauty subscription box such as Bellabox or IPSY where you subscribe and get sent a box of items monthly, except this box is a one off. It includes treats, candles, beauty products or whatever you like – you can create your own box from the website!

Carly created this unique service to make gift giving a lot easier. If you’re stuck on what to give mum for Mother’s Day or Christmas this box would be perfect, as you’ll soon see why. This box is not only perfect for that but it’s also great for a congratulatory gift for events such as promotions if you can’t visit them due to your busy schedule or for even more sorrowful events, when you’d still like to send your support. It also costs about the same as a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

A little blurb on the products included taken from her website:

Our gift of Sunshine is filled with organic, eco friendly, natural, fair trade or Australian made products that make you feel special. Each product has a reason for being. All edible items taste great and our beauty products will leave you feeling fresh and confident.

My experience:

As soon as I opened up the cardboard box (which, mind you, was also decorated with colourful washi tape) I was welcomed with a beautiful, vibrant coloured box that would definitely cheer anyone up just by looking at it. Upon opening the box, a strong fruity scent filled the room, which was awesome because fruity scents are one of my favourites. I took the liberty of breaking my diet (which was failing anyway) to taste the white chocolate with lemon and poppy seeds and even though I don’t really like lemon flavoured items, it was delicious. The passionfruit fudge was even better, don’t get me started oh gosh haha. The coconut hand cream also smells divine – to me it has a subtle hint of passion fruit/overall tropical scent which is not too strong at all. I have yet to try the tea, but have high expectations after the rest of the products!

Now, what you all are probably itching for, the photos:

Ok, how cute is this? A little envelope which you can curate a message for your loved one. I love the attention to detail!

I thought I’d just include how the box & candle looks like.

What I loved about the box:

  • Well thought out/curated
  • High quality products
  • The tropical theme which definitely does scream joy
  • The fine attention to detail

There isn’t only one box though, there are many options which are perfect for people on budgets. Click here to see a list of all the boxes on Oh Little Sunshine‘s website. Don’t forget you can create your own box too (click here to see that)! The prices range from $35-75 with free standard shipping or $5 express shipping in Australia and $10 shipping to New Zealand.

I honestly feel as if this box is perfect to cheer someone up or bring some extra joy into their lives. I wish you guys could actually smell how amazing the box has made my room smell; even my sister commented “the room smells like pineapple” hahaha! I would definitely recommend this box if you’re stuck on a gift or on a budget but still need to get someone a gift. I found the attention to detail amazing and the service outstanding – I have no complaints! It feels as if I’m harping on this box, but honestly it’s so worth it and I’m not just saying that.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Amy x

    1. It’s such a great idea. At the moment it’s only Australia and New Zealand based but Carly’s been kind enough to look at shipping prices to other countries for my readers. She will probably get back to you on that within a day & if she doesn’t see your comment I’ll message her for you x
