HELP! Eyeliner…

Hi guys!

I wanted to ask you all a quick question about eyeliner – is it normal that my liquid liner runs out after like 3 weeks? It’s super annoying and was wondering if there’s anyway to prevent this. I am currently using the Maybelline precise liner but it’s pretty much done and I bought it 3 weeks ago. Please recommend me great liquid liners you know of which don’t run out so quickly >< – not sure what I am doing wrong :(! Also, does anyone know how to prevent your eyeliner from smuding at the bottom corner of your eye? I always seem to have this problem.  Would much appreciate your help – thanks!

  1. Since I discovered eyeliner, I have been using the Collection2000 eyeliner. Its got the felt tip pen applicator, and the colour is really black and glides on super smooth. I feel like i can get my eyeliner done in 1 swipe and it lasts me a while… Its the only one I use. Hope this helps 😁

      1. Also, try leaving your pen liner facing downwards. Or give it a shake. The ink shook come to the point, that’s what I usually do 😘

      2. if your gel liner dries too use a duraline from inglot place a 1-2 drops and the gel is ready again. best eyeliner pens are from mac, anastasia, charlotte tilbury.and japan, korean brands too

      1. sorry but I keep on remembering things later…you should also try out Sephora eye liner and eye shadows they are very good quality. where I live its very hot and I use these for heavy makeup at night for big events and they have never smudged.

      1. Yeah – sorry should have made that clearer lol I’m not sure about preventing it from running out….one of my faves is the rimmel exaggerate liquid liner and that doesn’t smudge – its lasted me about 6 months too and I wear it every other day 🙂

  3. I use the felt tip one,it lasts more and also gives precise lines. Also it doesn’t dry out that soon.Regarding smudging,it maybe due to oily lids or the formula is too runny.Try with a primer or maybe you can try a different eyeliner style. 😊 Hope this helps.

      1. you are welcome girl,I was suffering from the same thing…I use Lakme,Indian brand but I am sure Maybelline colossal is equally good if it is available over there and also its budgety. 😊

  4. I find that pen eyeliners tend to dry out quicker especially if the cap isn’t tightly/securely closed. Maybelline Line Stiletto is the best drugstore liquid eyeliner I’ve used so far.

To prevent smudging, try putting powder on your eyelids/lower eyelids before and after eyeliner. Any kind of powder/eyeshadow should work! For extra smudge protection, start off with eyeshadow primer before the powder. Hope this helps! 🙂

  6. I really like Maybelline’s master precise eyeliner, Kat Von D Ink liner and the bh cosmetics liquid liner! These all last for ages.

  7. you can try using a gel or cream eyeliner or an eyeliner pen. BH Cosmetics has a nice dark eyeliner pen as well as Physician’s formula. I use them both. You can set your eyeliner with dark eyeshadow as well or even use your eyeshadow as an eyeliner. Also if it ran out you might have to take into account how much you use, how many mistakes you made (and there had to add more eyeliner to fix it) and how often you used it. If all of that seems like a normal amount to you then it might have dried out as well! Sorry if ll this info has been discussed in the above comments!

    1. That’s fine! Thanks for your recommendations, I’m not sure if we have BH cosmetics here in Aus but we definitely do have Physician’s formula so I’ll be checking that out. I use my eyeliner 5 days a week, not often with mistakes but I still expected it to last longer which is a shame 😦 not sure if that’s normal or not. Thanks so much for your tip about using the eyeshadow – I’ve gotta try that! xxxxx

      1. check on the bH website to see if they ship to the AUS. hopefully it won’t cost you an arm and a leg but it is nice. But even if that’s too much trouble the physician’s formula 2-in-1 eye booster eyeliner pen is really good. It has a soft felt tip and goes on really easily and is a nice solid black

  9. I’ve had heaps of issues with liquid eyeliner and have tried and tested many (which are now in the bottom of my makeup drawer!!! I swear by the K-Palette real lasting eyeliner 24hr waterproof 1 day tattoo. It’s from Japan but you should be able to buy it from Ebay 🙂

  10. I stopped using mascara and eye liner. I gave up on them. I’m a sports person and when I’m sweating it’s always the same old song…Painting or permanent makeup is an option

  11. Hey, I’ve tried one too many eyeliners and I’ve came across too many eyeliners that look like they ran out or something. The very faint look, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about! Haha
One that is pigmented, doesn’t have that faintish look is Rimmel the exaggerate look! 🙂

  12. I have the Maybelline Lineur Intense Liner, and love it! I have been using it for about a month and it seems to be fine for me :S
But one I could recommend it the L’Oreal Lineur Intense Eyeliner in Carbon Black, this one has A LOT more product in it than other liquid eyeliners, and mine last me years after using it every single day!

  13. The Jordana Fabuliner is handsdown my favorite drugstore liner! It’s so easy to use because it is felt tip, all you have to do is just draw on your eyes (haha), and really pigmented. I’ve had it for a few months now and it hasn’t died on me yet! I use the liner to draw a thin line near the corner of my eye out, then the wing, then drag the product back towards the corner, making the line thicker. Sorry if that sounded like a bunch of gibberish, but hope it helps!
