Review: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Fit Me! Dewy & Smooth Foundation)

Hellooo guys.

I’ve got a quick review for you all on the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (I wear the shade 210). Also I’ve realised they’ve released a new fit me foundation – the matte and poreless one! I definitely want to go and try that one out, have any of you tried it yet?

Price: $18.95

Packaging: I love the packaging of this foundation. I like that it is simple, chic and made of glass. The cap is very secure and will not fall off if you carry it in your bag. The only con for the packaging is that it does not come with a pump, which makes the usage and distribution more difficult (you may pour out too much, etc).

Pros:

The consistency of the foundation is very smooth and applies easily with either a brush or fingers. The coverage is exceptional for a drug store foundation, it can cover all my acne scars and acne to an extent. Another pro is that the foundation comes in a lot of different shades which suits many skin tones (mine matches almost perfectly!). When applied the foundation does not appear as cakey, but if not set with a powder it is very shiny – I set mine with the Fit Me powder and it looks near flawless.

Cons:

It lasts an average length of time, does wear off during the day and it does get oily after a few hours (although this can be fixed by oil blotting sheets). As stated above, if the foundation is not set with a powder, it appears very shiny and unnatural. The foundation also feels a little heavy on the face, compared to my Covergirl one, but this is acceptable for the coverage it gives. The greatest con for me, however, is that it does not come with a pump. This is not a friendly foundation for oily skin.

Recommend?

I would recommend this foundation to anyone (unless you have oily skin). It is probably one of the best drug store foundations out there and provides great coverage. It is easy to apply and definitely suitable for special occasions or everyday wear.

What are your thoughts on this foundation? Also leave down below any other good drug store foundations because I’d love to try out some more! 🙂

PS. I’m pretty sure I’m like the last person on earth to do a review on this product, hahaha!

  1. Thanks for the follow! 🙂 I have also used this foundation and it wasn’t my favorite, it just felt too heavy and oily for me, but I keep it as a backup in case I run out of my other foundation. I can’t complain about the coverage though!

  2. Great review. Been wondering about this one for a while but wasn’t brave enough to try it. My favourite drugstore foundations would be Revlon Colorstay or Maybelline 24hr foundation 😊

  3. I really like Revlon’s Nearly Naked foundation! It’s probably around light-medium coverage but it feels so weightless! Try it out if you’re looking for less coverage, pretty natural makeup 🙂

  4. I didn’t know they made a powder! I just bought this foundation last week and it came in a shade that finally matched my skin (matches better than most). Is the powder a bit lighter?

I like the foundation so far, but will only wear it if I have to go to work or if I have sme kind of event. Besides this I’ve been using the Maybelline BB Cream which has been great so far too.

    1. I think the powder is a bit lighter – but it compliments and works really well with the foundation! (Def should give it a go).
Ahh, I tried the Maybelline BB cream but sadly the shade doesn’t match me, which is a shame 😦

  5. I actually really like using this foundation for special occasions, I’m just not that into a proper foundation for a daily basis. Unfortunately I’m too pale to use mine at the moment and it looks reeeeally unnatural, but once summer is around the corner I might go back to it. Lovely review btw 🙂 xx
